1. Install 10.2.0.1 in a new ORACLE_HOME
2. Apply the 10.2.0.5 patch set on the 10.2.0.1 HOME
(and any PSU patches on top of 10.2.0.5 - see MOS Doc 753736.1)
3. Perform the upgrade from 9.2.0.8 to 10.2.0.5 as per the Upgrade Doc - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14238/toc.htm
Pl be aware that 10gR2 is also de-supported. Is there a reason you are not upgrading to the latest version (11gR2) ?
